The Resource Center provides information on services available to Kosciusko County residents needing health or other resources. The Social Worker meets individually in appointments to determine needs and what services are available to help fulfill those needs. Clients come to The Help Center overwhelmed by not knowing what to do regarding a health condition. The Help Center often advises of resources for affordable health care, health insurance, financial assistance, food, services for children, etc. We have information on many local services. The Help Center can offer guidance in your options.

How do I apply?
To access assistance through The Help Center, call (574) 372-3500 for an appointment. The receptionist can schedule a time to meet with the Social Worker. You may also stop by the Health Services Pavilion to schedule an appointment. You will be asked to complete an application. You may also print and complete the application ahead of time. Download the application from application tab above.
What do you assist with?
The Good Samaritan Funds may assist directly with the cost of being seen by a physician, medical testing, medical equipment or travel to medical appointments. Our goal is for you to have access to medical care.
The Good Samaritan Fund cannot assist with large hospital bills, medical bills in collections. The goal of the fund is preventative in nature.
The Cancer Care Fund can assist with household expenses while a cancer patient is in treatment. Examples include: rent or mortgage, utilities, car payment, insurance, travel expenses, food gift certificates and gas cards.
Who is eligible for assistance?
Those who live in Kosciusko County needing medical care that cannot afford the cost may be eligible. The funds do not operate by an income scale, but do consider if the applicant has the ability to afford it themselves.
